Has anyone successfully kept peacock bass with a jardini arowana? I am looking into buying a 240 gallon tank (72x30x25) to keep my peacocks in and don't want to overcrowd it with a massive silver. I'm just not sure if it would be safe getting a smaller jar.

dont have any experience with keeping jar and cichla, but I do have 6x 5.5-7 inch cichla with my 3x 20" silvers. They get along fine, my silvers never chase or nibble at the cichla. Ive heard tons of horror stories with Jars man, very hard to keep in communities.

I had a bad experience in my old 75gal tank with a 6" azul and a 6" jardini. the jardini didnt let my azul take pellets off the surface and would chase him whenever he would swim into open water. I know the 75 is small for those 2 together but still i didnt think a larger tank was going to make a difference so i got rid of the jardini cuz my azul is my favorite fish and i waited a year for him.

aren't jardinis' considered a solitary fish? don't they eventually get so aggressive they kill everything in the tank?
