Anyone have any?

As in Geo. brasiliensis? I used to have a breeding pair.

Not to derail but Modest those are sweet.

holy crap i can see why you are looking to buy some of those!!!

Ha, I passed up some decent sized 4-5" brasiliensis for 10$ due to ignorance. I went back to the fish store the next week and all of them were gone (duh i can see why). Now if there is a cichlid I don't know I immediatly go home and research it to make sure I am not missing out.Once again, like your avatar, a prime example of what a cichlid should look like.

Those are stunning! Wow. Those animals look like they were living in fish heaven.

I was thinking of one, but I only have left over 29 gallon I am trying to stock and that would not do...maybe some smaller rams.

If my situation changes in the next year however I may be looking at building a larger tank - these would be some great additions and I was waondering how agressive they might be.

my geo... hes showing abit of hurt from a run in with my jardini but they are stunning fish...
mine is very aggresive. has harrassed and killed alot of other fish so have to keep him with my jardini now.

Mine were quite peaceful. They bred in a community tank with angels and a A. robertsoni and allowed the angels to eat all the fry I didn't suck out. No aggression between anyone except the multiple females I had (which I removed after getting a pair).

A very underrated fish. Cheap, hardy, peaceful (for a cichlids), easily sexed and bred, and quite attractive. I'll definitely own them again.
