Hi fellow MFKers, finally got my usb for my camera. Pics kinda sucks but here it goes...
The black ray is a leo x pearl, and the other guy is a pearl x motoro. Both are males

The last 2 pics are tank shots. I've been doing 30%-50% WC for the past week and my water is still not clearing up. It looks murky green, does anyone know how I can get rid of this and make it more clear?

Wanted to add that the tanks been running for 2 months, i use tap water and dont add any chemicals. Lights are on about 8-10hrs a day.

To much direct lighting.Green water isnt going to hurt them ,just algae bloom.
The only way to really get rid of it,is change all the water or get a uv sterilizer.
There are chenicals out there that claim they can get rid of it.But i dont know how ray safe they are.

Thanks Shawn, I'll try different lighting. Would a uv sterilzer be ray safe? I assume it is since its recommendation from you :)

A UV would likely correct your problem. I would not add any chemicals. Is your tank in direct sunlight?

I hope you're at least dechlorinating your water, or does it not contain any chlorine or chloramines?

Had an algae bloom once, all I did was daily water changes and leave the light off.
Completely cleared up in about 2 weeks. No chemicals needed.

This is the cheapest and most natural way to do it. Then perhaps reconsider whether your lights need to be on as much as they are - if you're not watching the tank 8-10 hours a day maybe have the lights on a timer to go on early evening or something.
