Let me get some opinions on this... I am trying to develop a strain of kamfa (long term project)
My head genes are coming from a nice headed titanium x zz male. I would like to cross him with a female, probably a fader rt or a red dragon. I will be selecting these fry for large heads
The other pair I would like to cross is my escondido male to another female or a parrot. He has
magnificent worm pearl covering his entire face. I will be selecting the fry for this trait.
So after this I will have fry with a large head and fry with worm on the forehead if all goes well.
I will cross these to eachother in several pairings hoping to get babies with worm on the kok.
Experienced breeders - do you believe this will work over several years to breed the trait in or am I wasting my time? Should I find a koky female for my titanium and a pearl over head female for my texas?
Or would it be probable to get fish with this trait from the 2 gen pairing I have proposed.
