I'm interested !
I love the pattern on this boy Alan, he is a very thick set ray too, this is a trait found in Pearls and not so much with Motoro, look at the thickness of that tail in relation to disc diameter....he's a beaut for sure!
Thanks Richard! I asked a while back about the traits of "5 stars" cause of all the little white spots that have begun popping up. He didn't have these 6 months ago. They started on the tail and have been slowly working their way forward, covering almost the whole back half now.
You can tell by the perimeter scarring that he's a rather feisty fellow....... Lots of that scarring from 2'+ blackies.
Unfortunately I'm not having any luck finding him any ladies. He almost killed my Henleo and picks up where he left off whenever I try to reintroduce, so it may be time to pass him along to someone who has some ladies for him. I don't want to, but feel it's rather greedy of me to keep when he could be producing for someone else.
He's definitely a looker compared to many I see offered to us over here......
Been looking for years already, no luck....... Have found female Pearls, and sold them, trying to find one on this guy's level is proving to be very difficult if not impossible. Not interested in gambling with importing to find one. Hence the reason I posted updated pics, for the people interested in acquiring him. IF he sells great, if not, it's not going to break my heart to keep him around, he's always been a favorite, just open to the idea of sending him somewhere he could be more useful - as in a father..... lol
ya its interesting how one year ago lots of larger stingrays were availiable and lots of breeds and at that point I was not ready to spend and get any, now though all the rays are pups or all males, or of course nobody will ship them or provide a safe DOA with that shipping. I have been looking and looking myself with no luck in finding something and as I said when I do the shipper is the hard part. But I do not blame people for holding onto their rays they are wonderful animals. And shipping can be hard, I saw a vendor had male pearls a little while ago and I was thinking maybe an all male tank is the way to go anymore. Good luck, He will be a great addition to anyones tank.
