He absolutely hates it but its the only way i can feed the polypterus pellets during the day. He goes into a trance like state

Hahahah thank god i have this or the polys would starve

Lol, my guy doesn't care what light you turn on, he's going to eat.

Tell me about it lol. I ended up giving the poly's to tlindsey and kept the pearsei.
Didmt know that.... no matter how many times i say i've had it with this fish's antics i could never rehome him...damn think is literally like a dog, really family pet. My mother inlaw will even ask "hows hulk doing"

I don't blame you, the Pearsei is kinda beastly. How big is he now? I have one of those blue bulbs, i'm sure mine is ancient by comparison - just a 4' T-5 or T-8 - I was testing new bulbs in my fixtures last week and came across that exact color spectrum and i'm still wondering what I can use it for beneficially. It doesn't produce much light for pictures and I doubt the fish can even tell there IS a light on at all under it, but for some reason I like it lol

Im not sure how big he is probably smaller than he should be. Only fed him 2 times a week for the past 5 months or so... life :( hahaha
