pearsei picked up at weekend

picked up a nice pearsei at the weekend , its approx 11-12 inches inc tail , someone had if from a juvie then traded him in at this size , he was up for £30 after a bit of bartering trying to persuade the lfs that they would be stuck with him for months as no one who goes there would be able to house him correctly , i managed to get him for £18 . i cant belive someone give such a nice fish up ,but hey there loss is my gain . here are a few pics of him

cheers guys , yes the jag did indeed learn the hard way ,shortly after that he had a go at much larger than him butti , he took a bit of a beating and has now accepted the Pearsei and butti are far bigger than him and much stronger , all is now peacefull again ,

thanks mate , dont see them here that often anymore sadly . and yes the jag got a bit of a painfull lesson , but in true jag style he hasnt let it bother him ,hes just recruited one of his larger females to lend a hand lol

Very nice Pearsi. That has to be 1 of my all time favorites. I just love the personality. I think i may know why someone traded that fish though. I think its a female. Maybe they had a whole group and only wanted a male or a pair. That looks like a female for sure.

How are you sexing, I was told by Aquamojo that they are monomorphic and the only way to sex is flip them over and vent or wait till the drop.

Tropheus, that is a very nice specimen, and at the current size it still has several inches to grow.
