I have a 30 gallon tank with a pair of rams, and the ph of that tank is 7.6. I want to add some peat moss to lower the ph for them, but I'm not sure how much to add and where I should buy it and if I need a certain kind.

petsmart usually has stuff like that or any pond supply store. My ph is the same and I have 2 blue rams and they don't seem to mind at all. They frequently breed and have eggs that hatch into fry, so I don't worry about it.

I couldn't find it at a local petstore, so I went to the depot and got enough to last me forever. I just got a mesh bag, filled it up with peat, washed it, and chucked it in the back of the tank. I also put a bag in with my aging water. No problems.

Hope that helps,
Brandon
