Peat

I got some peat the other day, being too busy to tackle my canister filter yet, I put it in a sterile media bag and tossd it in the tank. The fish went nuts, they love it, they swim in it and Gu Ka'an (my silver) has calmed down, he stopped headbashing and faceplanting it really does make a difference. I gotta get the bag in my canister now, cause Gu K is attacking biting and shaking his new friend named peat (pete the peat)(Pete Moss)? LOL anyway, now I suppose you guys will point out my non traditional tecniques and why I shouldn't have done it that way (input alway's welcome, I'm removing the duct tape) All I know is I have a very content, MELLOW aro. Oh! the Aro fairy came last night and switched fish on me. (Silly little fairy, I wanted a snow!)

Good to hear. I don't see any problems with putting it in the tank other than the aro attacking it. You'll have more contact with the water stream in the filter though.
