Pectoral fin problem - and I'm worried...

Hi...

My male convict seems to be having problems with one of his pectoral fins. He has had this since I first got him. I cannot actually see anything wrong with him other than a small white dot by the pectoral fin base.

The photo below was taken a few weeks ago, the dot has thus gone away but now he just cannot seem to use that fin.

Is there something wrong or is it a deformity?

I will see if I can post more recent photos when I get home from work.

No idea what was wrong with him... I got home and there he was sunk in the bottom of the tank. Looked very bloated so I guess it happened sometime during the day while I was at work.

My guess is there must have been something up with the fin, plus he wasn't really eating all that much, and I guess it all just got to him in the end.

I noticed as I was heading to the tank to take some photos of him to post up here.

So now there is just a little female in the 14g. I will go and get her a friend this weekend but I'm going to be very selective!

I went to a totally different LFS today in a different city - much nicer place. Found some beautiful convicts there and found a perfect sized male for the female.

I'll post up pictures when I get the chance
