So over the past couple of weeks I have noticed an annoying habit from one of my female leopard geckos. She seems to have gotten in the habit of kicking a bunch of sand into her water dish and its irkin my nerves. She has never done this before so Is there any reason she might be doing this. She has always dug pits in the sand occasionally but recently it has gotten kind of ridiculous.

Any suggestions?

I agree , give her a box to lay and shell dig to her hearts content.

She is housed alone. She has a humid hide with moss that she occasionally digs in. The thing is she has always shown "nesting" behavior by digging in her enclosure. Both my leos have. One of the reasons I keep them on sand. But now it seems she is intentionally covering the water dish with sand. She has done it again today :(
