Peacock bass grow very fast, but it depends on several factors. When they are small 2-3" hey can double in size in a little over a month when given all the food they can eat. water quality is also a factor, the better the water quality the faster they will grow.
 
Ya on average an inch a month when small!
 
The temp doesn't make them grow faster... The higher temp boosts their metabolism and they are able to eat more in a shorter period of time.... Its all how much you feed them!

However, you do want to keep the temp higher for young cichla... it helps fight off parasites!
