Hi there
As you know Im Eyal from Israel, & i would like to know the diversity of prices when you
Buy pleco.
I'llbe more then happy if you can add size to. For Example, prices in Israel:
(15cm) L128 - approximately 45$
(24cm) L600 - approximately 250$
(10cm) L014 - approximately 60$, (25cm) approximately 300$
(16cm) L027c - approximately 100$
Soon i will right all my L collection & their prices in Israel

thank for your cooperation

I would say your close to what we are here in the states, except your L27c price is cheaper than what we would have to pay

Soon i'll upload my all "L" + prices
All the time people Here complain about the prices
So i want to compare with people all over the countries

At that $100 price for a L27 that is most likely not the L27 Xingu variety. There are 3 different variants of L27, at that price its most likely the Tocatins variety. Just for comparison a 16cm L27c would run about $250 here in US.

Converted directly to US$, based on what I saw at the LFS last weekend, prices are all for juvi "LFS-size" fish;
L190 royal $119
L27 N/A
L330 N/A
L200 hi-fin $144
L014 $135
L046 $307 upwards*
L066 $30-50
L128 $135
L129 $150 (only just had one small shipment recently imported).
L114 $135 (might get the odd L600 mistakenly thrown in?)

We are fairly restricted with what we can get as we have a "green list" rather than a "red list" for allowable imports. Occasionally other things come thru with mistaken identity, but not very often. This isn't a comprehensive list of what is and isn't available here, just what I can recall from my last visit to the best LFS in our biggest city Auckland.

*L046 was unavailable for many years, but a recent flurry of imports came in around 12-18 months ago and were selling for anywhere up to US$700 each for juvi's. Since then they haven't been imported again but there are at least a couple of breeding colonies being established, but I haven't seen any young offered for sale yet (some may have been passed on with out being publicly offered), the general speculation seem to be that the price will probably settle around the US$230-$350 price.

*edit* I should also add that things like L104, L270, L066, L002 etc that are established and being bred here are readily available for a much lower price than the imports that aren't bred here, some for as little as US$15.

The idea is to right the pleco you own & the price you paid( with or without discount) for them
Not what you got in your region

Your L-128 is cheap! Its $80 here.
