My silver aro was used of eating guppies since the time i bought it. After reading some threads here about pellets advantages for aro, i decided to buy some pellet food and try it in my aro. But my aro doesn't eat it and starting to look like a waist of money and time. He doesn't even eat superworms and im concerned about my aro's additional protein and vitamins source.what do you think should I do guys... For me this is really a hard one for me...Thanks in advance for any advice:headbang2:naughty:

How long have you been trying to get it to eat pellets? Persistence is the key.

put in a carp or koi fish (that the arow cant eat) that can 'teach' the arowana that pellets r food. my 2 new silvers who live with pellet trained snakeheads ate pellets on their SECOND DAY! and theyve never eaten pellets before...fish just copy one another...good luck bro...dont give up...a healthy fish shud NEVER starve to death...

thats true i remember my first arowana , a jardini i kept it with 2 gold fish and 1st week he start eating pellets , than after he got big he killed them

Gut load your guppies. But i suggest you try other foods too:
Bloodworms, deshelled prawns, small fish fillet, beef heart, crickets, earthworms, superworms, krill. etc etc

sometimes when aro is used to a certain food. when introduing new food, you have to starve the aro. so that it'll be very hungry. how big is your silver aro?
depending on its size , sometimes it might take weeks of starving before it learns to accept new food.
