Pellet poop

I feed my rays cichlid gold and carnivore pellets as well as frozen food....idk if it's me or if they produce more waste from pellets?.... anybody elses rays poop more when fed pellets compared to frozen tilapia/shrimp/squid ect.

Rays definitely produce more physical waste when fed pellets on a regular basis

I feed mine lightly with Sinking Carnivore. Especially with the female, if she happens to eat a lot of pellets her poop is more solid and really stinks vs frozen foods.

Alot of filler in those pellets so probally why there is more waste

There is more waste with pellets partly because all fresh /frozen foods are mostly water

I feed frozen earlier in the day and pellets at night...def gonna cut back on the pellets

What's weird is in my 220 gallon tank with other monsters they produce the same amount of waste wether it's pellets or frozen....they eat most of the same pelletsas the rays too

It may be due perhaps to the Rays having a faster metabolism rate than their tank mates.
