I have a 2inch tiger oscar, a 2inch gt and a 2inch jag. I went to get them hikari cichlid gold and could not find the baby pellets anywhere so I had to buy the mini pellets. They eat them but it looks like they have a hard time eating them. Is it okay to feed them that size of pellet.

get a cup, put a little tank water in it, put the amount of pellets you will feed them in the cup then feed it to them after a few minutes when the pellets have softened.
This works. I've done it before. Sometimes I crush the larger pellets but this can often be more mess than it's worth. I also have 2mm pellets for my little guys but my small Trimacs still believe that they are big enough to eat the medium sized pellets for my larger fish. They steal them and suck them down.
