my silver aro only takes shrimp and tilapia. he doesn't take pellets. what's the best way to train him onto pellets? he's about 12" long.

The starvation technique. You could also tie a pellet to a fishing line and put it at the output of your filter.
The moving pellet should trigger the arowana's predatory instincts to try it out.

Only offer pellets, it may take a week or two but will eventually eat them.

i also have a jag and a pike cichlid in the tank that only take shrimps lol. should just cut out the shrimps completely and feed pellets?

Yes that's what I would do, providing all the fish are healthy.

the jag is starting to eat the sinking pellets, not the floating yet.

the arowana is very hungry right now lol, he's trying to bite my finger when i open the lid. he's tasting the floating pellets, but he's spitting them out :\

Just continue to offer pellets only, he should accept pellets soon :)
Silver aros are easier yto get to eat pellets .

Good sign that he is taking the pellets, even if it's spitting them. He'll soon figure out that they are edible.
