I'm trying to get my discus off frozen bloodworm and switch them to pellets. Does anyone know the tricks to do that. Thanks

They'll be stubborn at first, but they should come around. I would skip a day or two of feeding depending on their size. Then try the pellets, but discus and pellets usually don't go to well. I would try some freeze dried blackworks if you want to steer them off of frozen bloodworms........

I used .5mm Thera +A. That's what they got untill they ate it. I didn't feed them anything else took about four, five days then they started to eat. The tiny pellets plus the PFS substrate in their tank was perfect for their grazing and blowing up food. After a while I satrted to add some 1MM until thay ate that and then they were fine. But that's all they were feed. Good luck with them. Post some pics we love pics.

 If all they know is bloodworms, it might be a test of wills for a minute. You didn't mention size or age of your discus but persistence will be necessary no matter what. Withold food a few days & try a quality pellet. Dainichi Color Fx Sinking (a bit pricey) is my choice. Mine have been on a varied diet from the start so it wasn't hard at all. A little garlic sometimes helps to trigger the appetite. Also try flakes, freezedried & live to round out the diet. Mine go wild for live blackworms!! Good luck. "T"

yeah, in agreement with the other guys, depending on size etc, starve them for a few days then get a slow sinking pellet as they are instinctive feeders and the slower sinkers help contact time. if they are young i find, especially if they are with dither fish, is to feed them crushed flake that will float about and that is how my juveniles feed
