I need a little advice from you guys on how to pellet train a gar and a catfish. i think that i have made a step in the right direction so far and gotten them off of strictly live. now they are eating frozen silversides, and also starting to take table shrimp. one of my gar is already pellet trained and takes hikari food sticks readily. i am kind of hoping that he will at a minimum teach the other gar that the things floating on the water are food. my bluegill love the sticks too. (and the occaisonal shrimp they manage to steal from the catfish lol.) when i run out of the food sticks, i would like to switch to the carnesticks and hopefully massivoire for the cat. The catfish will come to the surface to eat, we hand feed him at night. but getting off topic. what are some things that yall have done to get this accomplished?

Starve them, they will eat eventually. If you dont want to do this, try crushing up some pellets and mixing it with frozen food they are eating to get them used to the taste

i have been doing sot of that. i have been taking the food sticks and stuffing them into to frozen stuff. i may even try soaking the pellets in the fish juice at the bottom of the bag. what do you think of this?
