Pellet training Jardini

So I have been starving out my Jardini to get him on pellets. It's been 5 weeks, no food. He was eating only crickets. I have 12 Tiger barbs in the tank with him. I have been throwing in Jumbo Carnsticks which the Tiger barbs eat in front of him. Any other suggestions on persuading him? Or just hold out. Thank you

I personally would hold out and keep offering the Carnisticks.

I will, he doesn't appear to be getting too thin. I will go week to week. He is about 15-16"
