How do you get largemouths to eat pellets and freeze dried foods? My 2 were caught yesterday and the day before yesterday. They will only eat minnows! How do I get them to eat freeze dried and pellets? They're 3" each in a 20 gallon 24"x13"x13".

Try feeding frozen blood worms then start feeding pellets with them good luck!!

i caught a largemouth fry less than an inch long, the day i put him into the tank he began taking pellets. loves em! hikari carnistick crumbled up.
I used to feed mine frozen shrimp. Way healthier and cheaper. They take to it very well.

with a dip net, theyre very quick so be prepared. It took me an hour for each bass.
I kept one when I had 5 silver aros and the bass. I got tired of feeding him live and after a week of not giving it minnows if caved in and ate pellets

The way I trained mine was to not feed it for about 2 weeks then throw in the pellets and your done.
