I have read a few threads on here as other places how to pellet train peacocks, as I was having trouble so I wanted to share what I did to get them on pellets. I have an older 300 gallon setup with 2 Mono's and Silver Arow that I have had for about 3 years, they are pellet trained. I recently purchased another 300 gallon setup for my office, and have 2 Azuls, 2 Temensis and a Blue Arowana all about 4" in length. For the last 3 weeks I have tried to pellet train them and they wanted nothing to do with the pellets. This past week I remembered that I had a Jack Dempsy before I got my 2 Mono's in my older tank which he died about 6 months ago that ate pellets like crazy from day 1. I went to a pet store and bought 2 Jack Dempsys about 5" in length and introduced them into my new tank. They ate the pellet food like crazy on the first day while the peacocks and arowana just looked on, now 3 days later the peacocks and arowana are going crazy to get the pellets along when feeding with the dempsys. Just wanted to post how it worked for me.

Nice tips! Using tankmate.

Last year i train my Jardini (12cm) to eat sticks or pellet, i put him starve very bad. Mix with crickets.
Here's the deal, first i gave him cricket two or three crickets. Once he got more exited i throw him sticks, at least he taste it.
Times goes by and hes gotten big now (30cm) and hes still CAN ear sticks, except pellet (flowerhorn pellets) he even dont wanna taste it haha
Hope it helps
