after all the years of Pbass, this is my first batch that has not come pellet trained at some level. Im pretty spoiled i know.

I got 4 6" healthy Kelberi that are not pellet trained (currently eating feeders although i have not fed them yet) and snagged a 7" mono that is pellet trained. I got the mono to school with the kelbs and teach them to be interested in pellets and hopefully take pellets before I even have to put a single feeder in there.

Anyone have experience with this or think this one pbass could get the rest of them on pellets?

It helps but he isn't going to get them all eating pellets, that is up to you.

Well many people have a 'trainer' fish. Dont see why it couldnt work.

They should get hungry enougn to start eating that stuff

here was my situation 2 months back. i bought a 12" kelberi that was fed nothing but a few feeders a week its whole life. so after i got him he wouldnt even look at a pellet. month after got another kel thats fully pellet trained. even with her in the tank he ignored pellets. i finally got him to eat frozen shrimp recently and i stuff them with massivore now. but to answer your question you pellet trained fish may not get others to catch on.
