i would say starving him for a few days should do the trick. hell get hungry to the point where hell get used to the pellets real quick. i thought it would be tough for me to do this with a wild caught native bluegill, but couple days of not eating, and now he eats both pellets and live fish, whichever i decide to give him.

Make sure you mix in a pellet or two inbetween a couple of crickets. Make sure you make the crickets splash the water on entry, and try taking of their back legs so they dont move around too much when they are in the water, that way when the pellets splash down, your fish will think it is a cricket, even though it isn't moving. Also make sure to stretch out your feedings so he/she is good and hungry. Eventually you should be able to reduce the number of crickets and increase the number of pellets, then go strictly to pellets only. It will take time, but it can be done.

Good to know, ill probably keep offering pellets and freeze dried krill until saturday, if he doesnt take them ill get some crickets and mix the with pellets
