hi,
Isnt there any problem to let Bichir consume something not for carnivore? I knew that Bichir ate algae wafer, Hikari lion head(which has Spirulina and Wheat), and many of owners love to.

caz now I'm also giving them a Hikari Lionhead for pellet lol. so scare they will :swear: me

Those guys will eat any food you put into the tank....Mine love to eat the algea waffers too. It is good to give your fish a varied diet!

Jen ;)

They are fine as part of a balanced diet.I mean theres nothing worng with a salad sometimes for dinner-Anne

what about a baby senalgalese? have fed raw shrimp a pellets, anything else to make him/her grow and what will it look like when older?

Feeding
Live foods : guppies , rosey red minnows, ghost shrimp, earthworms
frozen: bloodworms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp , krill, squid and frozen silversides
a good quality pellet, lean meaty foods such as beefheart are good too
but you need to balance their diet for nutrition so vary the diet, not just one
thing. How much to feed them ? Feed them until their belly bows slightly.
and skipping a meal will not hurt them once they are
past 7-8 inches remember in the wild food is not
always available.A nice round bichir is a happy bichir
