Pellets....benefit?

I tried feeding my rays for a month of only shrimp. Went back to pellets and cant belive how dirty and stinky they make your tank. Who does not use pellets for this reason and do they notice a difference in health or growth rate.

i notice that pellets stink, i learned that most of the smell is you bag of pellets, keep them in a plastic container and it helps, i notice with shrimp that i will have a lot of white particles in the water and i do not have that with pellets.

Yes pellets do tend to stain your water and make your fish room smell funny.
I control the stain and stink with activated charcoal in an FX5.
The benefits of a nutritionally sound pellet is worth the extra filtration!

i fed massivore for 3 months straight with no smell i noticed... guess your turn over might effect this...i had heavy flow...

Not the bag as I keep it in a sealed container. I also have just about 10,000gph of flow

i kept both sealed container and bag.... i do/did run chemipure off and on but im pretty sure it was not running the last few months of my tank...
