Hello guys,

I got 6 ATs (D. Polota) about 3 weeks ago and they are still only eating Blood worms.

What would be the best way to get them to accept pellets? (I am not sure if starving these tiny fish is a good idea.)

Also, which type/brand of pellets are suitable for baby Dats?

(I have all three types of Hikari Cichlid food (Bio Gold+, Gold and Excel) for my Malawis, Jaguar and P. Endlicheri. My Silver Aro and Gars are pretty happy with market shrimp.)

Thank you,
Sid

PS: Happy New Year!

i use, at that size, broken Massivore pellets

I have 6 D. polota at around 1".
I usually soak broken massivore pellets with mussel or prawn and feed the massivore first. They all started eating massivore with no issues a few days after arriving (a few of them started on day one to be honest...).

With them I also have 5 3" and 3 4-5" IT. I used the same method.

I noticed that the bigger they are, the longer they take to accept pellets, but now they´re all eating them
