My young shoal at 1inches each was feeding on Hikari Bio-Gold pellets for the first two weeks...I then introduced Krill, bloodworms, and white fish fillets....Now at 2inches each, they feed greedily on mealworms, fish fillets, and Krill, but spit the pellets out....Has this happen to any of you????I do not mind buying them fresh fish, but should I be worried about the lack of vitamins they will not get from pellets????Thanks

Yea, they can be fussy as heck, today my kids and i caught, earthworms, grass hoppers and crickets, they ate them all. they live on fillets and netted minnows usually. but i had the same worries cuz they wont touch anything else. Try some live stuff, earthworms are very nutrisious and they dig them.

Try getting Cichlid fish food mix ( the small ones- the larger orange ones stink up the tank). MyP's have been eating them since they were born. But stilllove ghost shrimp and feeder fish

u can also tyr weaning them over to pellets and or gelitin-based foods once they get larger google gelitin based foods for carnivorous fish-that should get u a recipe or two
good luck
