What kind are you guys getting your aros to eat. Mine doesnt even pay attention to ciclid gold pellets. Ive even tried to soak them.

i'm going to try to get mine to be on hikari sticks and cichlid food to enhance the color. then a combo of both gf and sticks when it get's bigger.

I use Hikari food sticks:popcorn:

I always used azoo arowana stick, all the silvers i had loved it
They grew quickly and did not fall ill since

When i got my aro its would eat sticks and goldfish. When i kept it with my sting ray it would only eat live worms, black worms and frozen shrimp and wouldnt look at anything else. I took him out of the ray tank because i couldn't afford to have him eating all the worms. But he wouldn't go back on sticks, so i starved him and put him in a tank with some of my cichlid and the next day started eating pellets.

Throw in some stix along with some crickets,, eventually i think that the Aro will scoop up the stix with the crickets.

i know for sure they like crickets. that may work. mine will take the hikari sticks but it will keep chewing them and spitting the little pieces out.

:iagree:
I weaned our Silver off goldfish using the little rosies, not enough to get him full then I placed Hikari sticks in the tank. Once he started munching down on them the rosies stopped, now he accepts all types of floating pellets, prawns, I just ordered some krill so we will see how that goes...so far he hasn't eaten fd crickets. Nevertheless, he is growing like a weed, coloring up nice. My son for the first time hand fed him prawns last night...good luck keep at it you will find a combination that works for you.

mine eats cichlid gold pellets. jus keep throwin them in. sooner or later they'll eat it. my aro went almost 3 weeks before he even tasted them. but eating n spitting out shows he has interest. just keep trying. mine gobbles them up now and has showed massive growth now that he eats them. i needa get my smaller aro on pellets =x
