Pelvicachromis pulcher (albino)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This thread will probably get moved, as pelvicachromis pulcher are African riverine cichlids. The albinos are just a color morph of standard pulchers...nothing different from a behavioral standpoint. They will be fine in a community tank with tetras and guppies.

They can get nasty when they spawn. My pairs used to keep a whole group of adult severums and silver dollars at bay with ease. But, I've never seen them really do any damage. They're big bluffers...make a big show of the chase. I've never seen them bother small fish.

After the eggs hatched in my 100L tank the female killed the male. She was sadistic and hunted him down. She also kept a school of 6 congos in a conrner till all the babies were gone.

their care is identical to regular kribs, they can breed with other being that they're the same species. they'll be ok with most robust tetras
