Is anyone working with Pelvicachromis sacrimontis, aka the Giant Krib or Green Krib? I have a couple wild pairs and they are absolutely stunning fish. They are on the C.A.R.E.S. list. I see them pop up from time to time on places like AquaBid but I don't see much written about them from hobbyists or other fish keepers. It's a shame -- they're one of the nicest krib types I've seen in person.

Ted Judy has a nice, informative video about them on his website: http://tedsfishroom.com/2012/08/06/who-c-a-r-e-s-pelvicachromis-sacrimontis

I will try to get some pictures of mine. In the meantime, it'd be great if any P. sacrimontis keepers here could share some info about their fish/setups or show us some pictures.

That was a great video - thanks for sharing.

I had a pair of these many years ago but mine were not as colorful as the ones in the video or the more commonly available P. pulcher. In retrospect they may have been the "green" form mentioned in the video. Unfortunately I didn't manage to successfully breed them because the male killed off the female. I was housing them in a 20H tank which may have been too small for them.

I kept them many years ago, and would like to again although when it comes to the larger kribs ... though Enigmatochromis lucanusi and P. signatus are above the P. sacrimontis on the list when room comes up.

^ You need some extra tanks. :D One of my sacrimontis pairs is really showing off but I need to get the pH down a bit in hopes of having balanced sex ratios.

The female E. lucanusi has been chasing/showing off to the male. They are about 9 - 12 months old so I'm assuming they should be sexually mature. Again, I need to get the pH down though.

No kidding I do!!! I need to win the lotto so I can move into a big house and make a fish room and buy like most of the fish you spawn from you.
