not a gar, a characin. i hear its hard to get em off feeders, around 12" max., and very skittish.
thats a boulengrerella lateristriga.

think of them as striped hujetas.

not very skittish from what ive seen.
but they can move very very fast.
not very hard to get off live for me...
i got them onto pellets just as easy as hujetas and spotted pike characins.
