Anybody use these filters? I know the 330 is a discontinued model, but I've got one running on my 38g since it came with the tank. I know they both take the "C" sized filter insert with the activated charcoal. Has anybody been using the media basket that's included? I've got those as well and I figured I might as well fill those up.

I use a couple of Emperor 400's and in one set of media baskets I have bio-rings in the other filter I use floss to filter a little finer.
There is no reason for you to feel you must use them, they just give you more flexibility as your needs change.

Yeah the baskets are great if you have a problem and need the extra media for pH or algae probs. I don't use them for any other reason.
