Can some one tell me what the difference is in penguin 200 filter and a penguin 200B bio-wheels filter? I was trying to price to price them online and PetSmart has them cheaper than Petco but they are listed as penguin 200B. Is there a difference?
Some people add the b at the end because when biowheels were first manufactured, they had the Penguin power filter (also known as the Regent Aqua-Tech filters from wally world) that didn't have a biowheel. These filters were manufactured before the discovery of the rotating biological contractor for aquarium use. Marineland added the bio wheel and changed the model numbers.

The b just means that it has a bio wheel included. The newer models have a bio wheel STANDARD. Whether you want a penguin with a bio wheel or not, you get a bio wheel.
