Hi guys. I saw this penguin bio wheels on Amazon.com, and since they just have 1 customer review that doesn`t say much, do you have any experience with them?
Do they make a lot of noise? Do they work correctly, cleaning the water?
Thanks for your help.
 
I have 3 different marine lang penguin hob filters.
several people here use various filters...but most prefere
penguin
and AC filters when it come to HOBS.. if you just look aroud this topic area, or even do a search, you will find tons of peoples opinions and experiences...
 
got 2 empor400's work great if you dont over stock the tank... make sure u keep the filter cartrages seated, one on my 65 lifts up, have to check it weekly.
 
I say forget the biowheel and go with an aquaclear.
 
how does the aquaclear works?
 
I say get one of each and you will have the two best HOB filters on the market IMO. I think that ac and penguin both have their perks. AC is deffinatly quieter and I think it keeps the water clearer. However I think that penguins are more powerful and rated more correctly and also have a ton more room to establish a bacteria colony. I personally have 2 penguins and a whisper (never get whisper) and I do like my penguins they never clog up or anything like that. I have only had one problem and all I had to do was clean it out a lil.

They both have their good points and bad. If you get both youll have the best of both worlds. I use both on my tanks :)
