Hey all.

Decided to join the forum so I could come across and chat to some other people who know what they are doing rather then simply lurk here.

I guess a bit about me is that I am a Penn State alumni and of course that means I am a PSU fanatic (to the point of a PSU logo tattoo...)

My fanaticism found its way into my hockey life as my goalie pads all have the PSU logo all over them. I have played hockey for as long as I can remember and my body reminds me everytime I move I think. HA HA.

I am also a motorcyclist. I have a white bike with a blue sub frame (psu colors) which is pictured here as I was on vacation recently:

hell if you look close I even spell it out for you...

Seeing as I did not have enough ways to blow my budget I decided I wanted to get into aquariums. My father has had a large reef set up with plumbing through the walls to a giant sump system in the basement. He has a lot more money then I do...

I decided to start off managable and get a 55 gal. I have 2 oscars, 3 green terrors, and a pleco right now. I am filtering it all with a Rena XP4 and I have an air bar to oxygenate the tank. Of course also a heater and temp guage. I just recently got all of my fish and as such they are all fairly small with the largest oscar at perhaps 3 inches right now at most.

I am looking to upgrade to a 150 gallon cube or deep footprint tank to give them all more room to swim and continue to grow. I woudl also want to add a bit more aqua life with the bigger tank: driftwood, live plants, and some more fish possibly if the oscars will allow it. Also have to find a way to sneak in something PSU related....lol

So anyway great site and I hope to find lots of great info on here. I am a total noob when it comes to fish so please bear with me. My poor wife has to on a daily basis...

Oh and some pics of the tank from about 2 months ago before I added the pleco and 2 of the green terrors. Also have since removed the back of tank filter for the Rena.
