those fiberglass tanks are nice but I like viewing fish from all different angles. I'd look for a cheaper bigger used acrylic though

The fiberglass tanks are nice but a plywood tank would afford a larger front view. The fiberglass tanks are a good choice for people who have mid water fish. Top and bottom dwellers are obscured or completely hidden by the frame. If you have the coin for the acrylic, continue to save while browsing the classifieds. Something is bound to come up in your price range and size.

I just got the 270 gallon pentair tank....the front viewing panel is more then generous... (I'm picky when it comes to this) .....go with the pentair tank .....trust me....plus you are going to pay half the price ......Imo you only need one full viewing side ....

Yeah tank will be for an arowana, pair of stingrays. I don't care if I dont get the perfect view of them, more worry if I don't see my arowana n stingrays completely...I saw ur thread. The window looks reasonable.

Also thoughts on filtration? Basic sump?

You have to take in consideration most people that will vote on this thread have not seen these pentair tanks in person.......

I have a lot of large canisters so I will be using them with the outtakes into an above ground sump......

Next plans are to make a stand for it
