People Eating Giant Snakeheads

My mom was telling me that snakeheads eat people because she saw it in the sci fi channel....This is not good. People who knows least about these fish actually thinks they eat people!!! See how the media desgtroy the image of the fish we come to know and love. Something needs to be done. I think I am going on an expedition for the National Geographic of Discovery Channel, and film this creature in the wild to show that they not EAT PEOPLE !!!! I need to be out there for about a whole year. Wonder how much funds I need to get this documentary goling? Maybe there are some government grants to do this...Anyone have have the know how? These could make the list shorter..and limited ot the C. Argus only.
 
She saw "Frankenfish". I laughed my ass off to that movie. It says that the asians were screwing around with the sh genetics, and created a mutant species of snakehead, that for some reason were dumped in a swamp in louisiana. The fish they used didn't even look like SH:screwy: :ROFL: :ROFL: :screwy:
 
Man i am so pissed that my State has made these wonderful fish illegal to own!!!I never really took advantage of owning these bad boys when i could,well i guess that is my fault.:cry:
 
from the title of the thread i thought you meant humans that ate giant snakeheads. I've heard of ppl eating snakeheads but not snakeheads eating people. But that movie frankenfish sounds hilariarse

I think shs are illegal in all states, and its a shame because they are such neat fish. I remember a few years ago when almost every petstore had baby red snakeheads for like $5. Im sure thousands of them were put into 10g tanks by people who didnt know anything about them. I here about snakeheads and other tropical fish being caught in lakes in the US. At this rate, more and more fish species will be banned. Its a shame........

LOL..I saw that movie..I thought it was ok...for sci-fi...but yeah I can see where the older generation might be convinced its real..my mother told me "your not bringing one of those home are you?" and she was so serious....:headshake
 
Yeah here you can catch them in most rivers. Ive thought about trying to keep a wild caught one but the DNR are out like crazy this way.
