Wow..... Just wow.....

horses and burros arent native to this continent. they were brought here on ships from europe waayyyy before the US even existed. they dont belong here, especially not on BLM land. and besides, its not like the slaughtered horses arent being used, im sure they get turned into dog food or something, and i know that a lot of zoo's feed their large cats horse meat. and i bet the leather in your car is horse hide, in fact, quite a lot of automotive leather is horse hide

The horses may not have been native to America in the first place, but you and your ancestors werent either.

oh my goodness! (politest way to put it) thats disgusting!!! has liz seen this? between her and myself we would have the lot!!!
i used to live near a hunt, which was where the slaughterhouse was for any animals that died, were roadkill or needed to be disposed of, went to to have the final stages of death seen to.
i know this maybe completly irrelevant, but i saw a hell of a lot of animals killed purely because people didnt want them any more or they were old etc.
then mad cow disease (BSE) hit in and i was sitting in the garden next to the slaughterhouse making daisy chains with the owners lil girl, when a cow came in, it was alive, but all over the place. then it fell down, foaming at the mouth and the bloke just went and got the bolt gone and.....it was awful.
its sat with me forever and i have done so much voluntary work for animal charities over here since...and was veggie till i was 15. i was 5 when i saw this incident...my mum went mad when she found out i had gone near there and never allowed the parents of my friend to look after me again.
i recently worked for the local charity that rescued the horses from slaughter houses. they would come in in bulk and most would have to be put down. as it is illegal to slaughter horses for meat over here they were shipped out to france. they would be pulled everywhere by their front legs and just dropped freom 10ft in the air in to crates. most having limbs missing, if wernt dead already were then put down. i loved to work with the ones who then couldnt trust ppl and gain their trust. sooo rewarding. i finally took one home with me lol.

sorry to rattle on just thought i would share my experiences, they still play on my mind now if u hadnt guessed lol. i wrote to those ppl just to let them no what i thought :-)

The point is that there are many people that would love to adopt these animals. Why not let them go to good homes instead of slaughtering all of them. They may not be natives but Where would we be without horses. Horses and burros helped build america. Before cars and trains...how did we get around? HORSES!! Yeah...you say they don't belong here...but where would you be if they hadn't been here???

And that justifies mass slaughter of animals?

Ding ding ding! It's not like they're snakeheads or something that will destroy the ecosystem they live in.
