How do you get the damn things in? I just got my first trial pair today and after trying for 30 minutes I finally decided to stop before I ruin them. Is there a trick to it? Mine would either turn inside out when it hits my eye or fold in half. Can someone fill me in on what I'm doing wrong here?:nilly:

LOL, i find it funny that your asking this on a fish forum.

You just gotta keep trying till you get used to it.It sucks starting out.I wore them in high school.I didn't ever think I would get the hang of it.Just keep trying.Try to get the very tip of the contact on the very tip of your finger before you insert. And make sure they are good and wet before you stick them in.Good luck.

i always had a hard time getting them in..but i find that if you look away when the contact is about to touch your eye it will ruin it.. you need to keep focus straight ahead and it will help. and they may be turning inside out because they are inside out. the way you can tell is by holding it on your finger in the light and if it is convex than it is inside out, if its concave (sides facing in) than it should work.. personally i found glasses much easier so i retired the contacts, but good luck to u!

It gets easier.. One time about 4 years ago my now ex-wife walked in on me trying to attempt at putting them in... :( I was jabbing my eye pretty good as three attempts and failures was too much.. I flipped out and was jamming my finger in my eye .. She seen thisd and FREAKED OUT!! Needless to say it wasn't really painfull. but the next couple days were blury and IRRITATING!!!

That is no longer a problem.. But I have a Lasik appointment scheduled for 3 weeks from now .. I am sick and tired of contacts. I work in a warehouse and don't like line indentions down the side of my head anymore from glasses either.. So I am going to look into this NEW thing.. Scary.. but I'll let ya know how it goes.. My cousing did it and is HAPPY!!!

i agree with xtin. look away. and practice. The first time i tried it took me about 10 minutes.

yea xtin pretty much summed it up..........they don't flip inside out as much once you wear them a couple times either cuz they get used to the shape of your eye.........

I look straight ahead and put them in. Just FYI, when I first got mine a few years ago, it would take me a good 30-45min every morning to get them in, and another 15-20 to get them out. Just stick with it.
