Wow... I moved to East Peoria recently from a very small town that happend to have a big 10 university in the middle of it, and outside milwaukee had the best and biggest fish shop I've ever been in. I move to this larger city, and can't find SQUAT!!! You mean to tell me the nearest thing to a decent fish shop is about 20-30minutes away in PEKIN? WOW...and from the ones I've been to so far there, haven't impressed me much either. HELP ME FIND GOOD SHOPS....PLEASE!!!!!

i live here too. well close anyway. in peoria there is a store called super pets. its by the shoe carnival on umm....i cant think where it is but ill check later today and get back to you
Have you tried Champeign, Bloomington, Decatur, Springfield? Peoria is pretty big im suprised that their isnt more there. Well best of luck hope you find a killer fish store.
super pets is pretty good. theyve got one monster tank in the middle.but if ya want to order something ya have to keep at them
i live in pekin and i can tell you that theres nothing but extreamly crappy LFS or chain stores. The best store in the area is probably super pets in peoria.
Well if ya wanna drive a couple hours....... The quad cities has a good marine store, and will order whatever you want. So long as it is available to them.
My aunt lives out there I ve gone up there a few times, I know a friend of her's who had a 55gal cichlid tank and he got his fish from sp as well. I dont think I really saw to many lfs there when I visited cuse if I did, I prob. woulda stopped in. As for bloomington isnt that like 1hr45min 2 hours away from Peoria? That would sux if thats the only. I do know in springfield they have a few cuse I ve been to those before, but I dont really go up there much to know road names I just know it was in big outside shopping mall plaza thing. hmm.
I went to a few LFS in bloomington-normal but that was a few years ago and i have no idea what they were called and i dont really remember them. the drive was about 45 minutes from pekin
I moved here from champaign, and Sailfin was the best shop I've been to outside of the Milwaukee area. However not about to drive 2 hours one direction just to browse, pick up some RO< or a fish, unless its somthing super special, and since I don't have the room or money right now. a special fish is outta the question. I stopped at superpets a couple weekends ago. I liked their quantity, but was really dissipointed in the quality, and the help was even worse. Plus they sell puppies? wow.... thought that was done and over with.. anywise. Guess I'm just SOL.... thx..
