Hello everyone! This is my first post here so please bear with me.
I have a 6 inch peppered loach that up until about two days ago was perfectly healthy.
He has been throwing himself around his tank, leaping out of the water, and today, since a few hours ago, he's been completely still. I had to touch his tail with the net a couple times to make sure that he's still alive.
He has a small patch of scales that look like they're almost shedding, which I thought was some kind of parasite as it's an opaque white color but i'm not completely sure.
Apart from that he looks normal. If anybody has any guess of what could be wrong with him I would appreciate the help.
Other info that might help
-He's in a 29 gallon tank with three goldfish
-I've only owned him for about a month an a half, he was adopted from a hospital that was getting rid of their aquarium display
-I do have the fizzing treatments for ich and general parasite treatment, but i'm hesitant to use them as I am not completely sure what is wrong and don't want to cause any more harm than there already is
-I do about 20% ater changes every week so the water is (should be!) clean
-I've never had any problem with parasites or disease with my fish so i'm not completely sure what may be going on
