Peppermint Bn's

Hey guys, just wondering if a peppermint and a common/albino Bn can interbreed? i hear alot of commons x albino and others but never peppers, is that cause they cant interbreed? or is it too hard? or it just doesnt happen?

The pleco forum tends to be a little slow going compared to other sub-forums on MFK. I dont have the experience to say whether that cross would work or not, but the reason you see "common" bn breed with albinos is because they are the same fish/species, ancistrus. Albinos are just a kind of color variant of the same species. Peppermint x bn would be attempting to cross a parancistrus sp. with an ancistrus sp. and I am far from an expert but I am thinking that may not be easy to pull off. Hopefully someone with more experience can give more insight.
