hmm looks very odd must be a region thing ive never seen one with red fins like that (EXCLUDING EUROPEAN AND AUSSIE RED FIN PERCH).

Looks like he needs to eat. And all the perch I've caught here have red fins as well.

The spot on his head is a scar...when he was only 5" long he jumped out of the tank...my cat then dragged it from the bedroom to the livingroom where I was watching TV...when I saw it I freaked and put him in a small quarantine tank and held him until he could hold himself upright...I then medicated for wounds and left the light off...within a week he was swimming pretty strong...I think the cat had licked most of his slime coat off and his tail is scarred too...if you look at the caudal close enough you can see where new fin growth started. As for eating...he eats like a pig...I feed him until he goes down to the bottom and ignores anything else that I put in the tank.
