Cory cats. Or perhaps a pictus. I thinkn your gonna have a problem keeping discus in a 22 gal though
Agreed you can't keep Discus in a 22 gallon tank it would fail in the long run. As for your question maybe a bumble bee catfish.

Your choice of Rams for your 22 gal. would be terrific if you keep the quantity to about 2 or 3. They get to be around 3 inches in size when adults.
When choosing your fish, you have to take into consideration if there is going to be enough room for your fish. A rule of thumb to follow is 1 gallon of water for every 1" of fish at it's adult or fully grown size. Be considerate of your fish and give them the room they need to grow to their maximum potential.
