Just ran across this on YouTube. Overkill per spec on plumbing. Inefficient use of multiple types of media. Super overkill on heating. Only thing I saw that was good was the bags of media in the pump section. Of course this is all IMO. Let me know what your thoughts are. Am I missing something???

I don't know, seems legit....but I wouldn't put the media right next to the return...and I would invest in a single or maybe two bigger heaters. I think using an acrylic tank for a sump is way acceptable.
Trust me, compared to what some of these crazy fish keepers do under the stand, this is a mild setup!
(When I say crazy I mean dedicated.)

Are you following me? Lol. I like the sump. Matter of fact I love it. It's how the person executed the whole sump. I'm not a super expert by any means. But the choices executed on it are pricey and not reaching full potential.

You need to check out Al's tank. One of the most down to earth setup. He's a long time member not a fly by night keeper. Some don't mind quality over function. Those valves are definitely not cheap.

looks fine to me, not sure i would have the heaters laying like they are ,.

Sweet sump, awesome tank, healthy stock, thanks for sharing

No problem! What am I missing here? That's a perfectly good wet/dry missing all the drip plates and baffles. I'm trying to gain insight. Not just bash someone.
