I noticed the bottom right silicone from front to back has some missing silicone..does it fade away as time goes by? Not where the glass joints but the extra silicone where it ends. will i have to worry about leaks? its sitting on the perfecto wooden cabinet stand.

as the tank gets old sometimes the excess can get peeled away by algae scrubbing or fish removing it.

my old royal pleco used to rasp the silicone on my old 90 (tank was 15+years old) and you could see where peices of the excess came off.

it shouldn't affect the tank as it is just that: the excess.

its not the part that is sealing the tank. that part is the actual silicone between the glass itself.

hey this is random but selkie your ekkie is adorable! ekkies are my all time fav birds they are so gorgeous i cant wait till i have the time to have one (full-time student right now:(

yeah i think eclectus are very beautiful. cept the one in my av is gone now, had to rid of it because it wasnt tamed properly from previous owner. After that I got a goffin cockatoo but got rid of that as well. I tihnk im just gona keep my fishes and 1 dog that my friends donated since they couldn't care for it as they have recently picked up a pitbull pup. It's ok Sarah, i'm sure your time invested into studying will get you a successful job to relax, retire, and raise a baby eclectus :) As a matter of fact, I think i need to get back to school.. :(

lol aww yeah i already have small conure, my shelter pup and am in process of starting up small reef tank and moving and revamping my 125g so yeah def no time for other animals lol but hopefully the studying will pay off lol i would love to have the time for a gorgeous little ekkie (or macaw;) and yeah if birds arent raised right it takes ALOT of work to get them nice again

conures are beautiful :) Goodluck with your reef tank! Lmk when you make a thread to post pix hehe
