Perfecto tank/tempered glass

Considering picking up a Perfecto 72x18x24...just wondering your personal experience with Perfecto and tempered glass aquariums......From what I understand it's the bottom that is tempered.....

Again, just wondering pros/cons with going with this tank?

Well are you thinkin about drilling it for an overflow? Thats what I assume. You could contact perfecto and ask them.

my 72x24x30 is a perfecto and its a great quality tank. It has optical grade glass and is VERY clear. Mst large comercial tanks temper the bottom piece of glass to save on weight. You cannot drill it for overflows but you can get HOB overflows. Hope this helpes

Thanks for the replies....no, I'm not thinking of drilling......my dilemma, is that on local forums in my area, since Boxing week, I'm aware of at least 6 leakers, that were bought new.......

Just wondering if anyone on here has had any problems as such? Or any issues with the tempered glass shattering?
