hey guys i want to treat my fish some are looking alittle itchy and my gt deff says early ick.. now.... id treat my whole tank but i have a pictus catfish and i heard a catfish doesnt do well with salt.. so idm gunna do some individually or whats called a "dip" how do i do this and how many times do i perform this, thanks guys

What you should do is treat the tank with salt, all fish can be "salted" your catfish will be fine. You should treat it with salt with every water change and turn up the temperature to about 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is this scratching a frequent occurrence? If so, start using table salt. It will not matter whether you use table or aquarium salt although the latter is still the same sodium chloride in a fancy package along with a high price for profits. Dissolve salt before adding to the tank. Use a dosage of tablespoon per 5g and treat for 14 days. Increase temperature to 86 degrees Fahrenheit or as much as the fish can tolerate. Maximize oxygen levels as well.

Yeah, Lupin is correct on that follow his advice, hes the master fish doctor, lol.

How did your fish turn out man?
