this isn't really a disease but I couldn't think of anywhere else to post this so here it goes:
so today i decided to add my male convict into my 75 gal (he's been living in a 10 gal for last few weeks cus i couldn't find place to put him). anyways, the tank was already established and my female green terror was running the show in there, she's about an inch larger than him so i wasn't expecting him to be too crazy. long story short, i come back an hour later and i find the con and GT going at it but my female had her eyes "pop" out. its kinda hard to explain, but im sure you've seen a blind fish and there's a white film that covers their eye - she kinda has that except that the white film only covers the middle of her eye and the protective thing around her eye is pop out. i've separated them and, using a net, tested to see if my GT was blind but see seems to be able to still see.
my question is:
is this permanent damage? will it lead to blindness? is there anything i can do to slightly "restore" the eye?
the pics aren't that good and they don't really show the popy-ness of her eye
